Microbe-lift Barley Straw and Peat extract will give you all the benefits of concentrated barley extract plus the added benefit of liquid peat to help maintain an ideal pH in Alkaline ponds. Rich in organic peat which softens pond water reducing nitrate and phosphate concentrations in the water column and provides a natural buffering agent and ion attenuation in lined ponds that additionally gives them some beneficial properties of earthen ponds. This product will slightly darken the pond water to help keep out excessive sunlight. Application rates: up to 500 gallons: 1oz first and second week, 1/2 oz 3rd and 4th week and 3/4 oz every three weeks for maintenance. 500-1000 gallons: 1.5 oz first and second week, 3/4 oz 3rd and 4th week and 1.25 oz every three weeks for maintenance. 1001-1500 gallons: 2 oz first and second week, 1 oz 3rd and 4th week and 1.5 oz every three weeks for maintenance. 1501-2500 gallons: 2.5 oz first and second week, 1.25 oz 3rd and 4th week and 1.75 oz every three weeks for maintenance. 2501-3000 gallons: 3 oz first and second week, 1.5 oz 3rd and 4th week and 2.25 oz every three weeks for maintenance. 3001-4000 gallons: 3.5 oz first and second week, 1.75 oz 3rd and 4th week and 2.75 oz every three weeks for maintenance. 4001-5000 gallons: 4 oz first and second week, 2 oz 3rd and 4th week and 3 oz every three weeks for maintenance.
