In certain conditions, large quantities of microscopic algae grow creating unsightly green water

A Vorton UVC is a unit positioned outside the pond which has the pond water circulated through it by using a submersible pump. Inside the Vorton is an Ultra Violet lamp. The water passes through the rays of the lamp before re-entering the pond.

The light eliminates green water by making the algae clump together so they can be removed from the water by a filter.

For spring-fed clarity, add a UVC to your filtration system. UVCs are key elements of an effective pond filtration system.

When pond water is exposed to the UV light source contained within a UVC, it causes the green water algae to clump together. These larger particles can then be easily filtered out as they pass through the pond filter.

UV treatment also reduces the organisms which cause disease in fish.
