Decomposes quickly and works year-round to soften pond water and reduces negative effects of phosphate. Improves fish environment, may also buffer ph and control some alkalinity, depending on level and length of use. 4.4 bag treats a 150 gal. pond up to 1 year or a 500 gal pond up to 7 months.
